Odakozmált

DSCF2575

When something like this happens while cooking something (in my case potato), you say:::
odakozmált a (krumpli)
OR
odakapott (a krumpli)
OR
odaégett a (krumpli)
OR
leégett a (krumpli)

°

odakozmálni – to catch in the pan
odakapni – to make a grab (at something)
odaégni – to catch in the pan
leégni – to catch in the pan

oda – there (to that place)
le – A verb prefix indicating actions with downward direction.

égni – to burn

° °

krumplit főzni – to cook/boil potato

..I myself would never use odakozmált, that is just some weird expression from Hungary to me 😀 ..I use odaégett 🙂
