vénasszonyok nyara – indian summer; summerlike warm sunny days in autumn
(Literally::: old ladies’ summer / crones’ summer)
°
Wikipedia says that ‘the many white spiders seen at this time of the year have been associated with the norns of Norse folklore or medieval witches, that’s why it is vénasszonyok nyara’.
I read at some site that the many spiders’ webs seen at this time of the year have been associated with the grey hair of the old ladies, so that’s why it is vénasszonyok nyara.
