Hungarian proverbs #44

Sándor Petőfi was a Hungarian poet and liberal revolutionary. He is considered Hungary’s national poet, and was one of the key figures of the Hungarian Revolution of 1848.
He is believed to have been killed in action during the battle of Segesvár by the Imperial Russian Army, but his body was never officially found… he dissapeared… in the fog…
And because of that the “Eltűnt, mint Petőfi a ködben.” (he/she disappeared as Petőfi in the fog) saying is used when somebody or something disappeared without leaving any clue/sign behind them.
