hóvarjú

The made-up word hóvarjú is an incorrectly pronounced “How are you?” among native Hungarians. It’s build up of two words “hó” (snow) and “varjú” (crow) but it doesn’t exist as this compound word. 😉

[ˈhoː]
1) snow ❄️
2) month (short for “hónap“)

varjú [ˈvɑrjuː] – crow
varjak [ˈvɑrjɑk] – crows

varnyú [ˈvarɲuː] – crow (dialectical)
varnyak [ˈvarɲak] – crows (dialectical)
